Yamaha announces the updated 2025 Ténéré 700 for U.S. market

2025 Ténéré 700

Taking the world-renowned T7 to the next level of adventure capability, Yamaha’s new 2025 Ténéré 700 now features Yamaha's advanced Chip Controlled Throttle enabling new selectable throttle maps, selectable Traction Control, along with additional enhancements to extend the journey even farther.

Since its introduction, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been an immediate success that has transformed the world of adventure motorcycling. Inspired by Yamaha’s tremendous success in the Paris Dakar Rallies of the 1990s, powered by the highly acclaimed CP2 engine and delivering genuine go-anywhere adventure riding in a lighter, simpler, more capable package, the Ténéré 700 has gained cult-like status among ADV enthusiasts all over the world. For 2025, the next generation T7 is set to build on the Ténéré legacy with a number of key enhancements. The new 2025 Yamaha Ténéré 700 will be available in Team Yamaha Blue or Tech Titanium and will begin arriving to dealers in February for $10,999 MSRP. Updated Rally-Inspired Styling

The new 2025 Ténéré 700's styling updates further accentuate its distinctive Dakar Rally racing DNA with an all-new quad-LED headlight, new side covers, tail section, color-matched handguards and a flatter rally-inspired seat. The fuel tank cap is also updated for easier fueling access.

New Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle

Yamaha's advanced Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ride-by-wire system provides crisp, seamless throttle response and enables two new selectable throttle maps (SPORT and EXPLORER), so riders can now dial in their preferred power delivery. There is also a new selectable on/off Traction Control System to help maximize grip in low traction conditions.

Redesigned Air Intake

A redesigned air intake with a shorter intake duct supplies improved torque and power delivery power characteristics in the low- to mid-range.

New, Larger Vertical TFT Display

An all-new, larger 6.3-inch vertical TFT screen offers a rich, full-color display along with two selectable themes providing a wide array of vehicle and smartphone information. A STREET theme offers a traditional analog-style tachometer, while an EXPLORER theme offers a more modern digital style.

Advanced Smartphone Connectivity

Expanding on the Ténéré 700's smartphone connectivity capability, riders can now access music, make and receive phone calls, and access a range of additional features through Yamaha's free Y-Connect app. Additionally, riders can also access full screen turn-by-turn navigation through the Google Maps app.

Revised KYB® Suspension

A revised 43mm KYB® adjustable front fork offers superb front-end feel and shock-absorbing characteristics, and now includes a preload adjuster located at the top of the fork tube. A redesigned linked-type monocross KYB® rear shock provides increased stroke and enhanced load absorption for more on- and off-road confidence.

Three-Mode Switchable ABS with New On/Off Switch

To enhance performance across all road conditions, the new model retains a 3-mode switchable ABS system with Mode 1 activating ABS on both wheels, Mode 2 activating ABS on the front wheel only, and Mode 3 deactivates ABS entirely. Switching between ABS modes is now made easier with the introduction of a convenient new switch located on the left side of the TFT display.

Enhanced Ergonomic Touches

A new clutch cover design offers improved leg room in both sitting and standing positions, new footpegs are now wider and longer for a more sure-footed feel, and a flatter rally-inspired one-piece seat design provides greater comfort while retaining the same overall height.

New Switchgear & Turn Signal Functions

Yamaha's next-generation switchgear features a new joystick design with button shape and feel extensively refined to provide intuitive operation in a compact, easy-to-use solution. New turn signal functions further enhance the riding experience with a soft click of the indicator activating a three-flash signal while a full click flashes continuously. Turn signals also self-cancel after 15 seconds and once the bike has traveled for more than 150 meters (492 ft.)
