DELTA, COLORADO - Skool of Moto, a one-of-a-kind motorcycle training school and campground, is officially opening its doors at its beautiful western Colorado campus - less than one hour south from Grand Junction - to new and intermediate riders seeking to sharpen their off-road riding skills, explore nearby desert and alpine terrain, and experience the camaraderie of the biking community.
Skool of Moto is more than a training school. It's an adventure hub, where riders learn and improve their riding skills while enjoying the thrill of guided rides through Colorado's stunning off-road network.
Owned and operated by Donni Reddington, a licensed and insured United States Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA) coach, the school offers personalized coaching in a low-pressure environment. Reddington, with her wealth of experience teaching classes from Washington State down to Baja, Mexico, believes in the power of individual and small group instruction. "At Skool of Moto, we believe everyone learns and progresses differently," says Reddington. "That's why our focus is on private and small group instruction. We've found that our students make the most significant strides when offered personalized coaching without the chaos and stress of large groups."
Skool of Moto offers customized training to suit the needs of each rider. Options include single-day training, which includes a half day session in the campus arena and skills park, or multi-day training programs, combining onsite training with out-rides on an array of off-road terrains. The latter gives learners the chance to apply their newfound skills in real-world environments. “Our training campus is only a 10-minute ride from an expansive network of dirt adventures including double track roads and single-track trails for riders of all skill levels,” says Reddington. “Skool is a great place to bring your riding friends for a motorcycle adventure where you can have a safe place to stay, connect with nature, and, of course, your bike.”
Situated on the Western Slope of Colorado, Skool of Moto boasts a campground with five sites that accommodates up to 10 vehicles. One site can accommodate rigs 50-feet long and features a pull-through. All sites circle a covered eating area and fire pit.
After a long day of riding, guests can take a hot shower in the private, outdoor bathhouse. Next door, a refurbished train car with east-facing sundeck doubles as a bunk house that can sleep up to four.
In addition to one-on-one and small group training & camping, Skool of Moto hosts a roster of events throughout the year. These include Rally Training, Group Training with guest coaches and a Dirt Bike Rodeo, making it a bustling hub for off-roading enthusiasts.
