Boundary Jacket

The Boundary IR Jacket is our premiere adventure touring jacket. It is AA CE-rated for abrasion / slide resistance and features reinforced ceramic-plated SuperFabric® panels and integrated / removable RHEON™ CE Level 2 armor for advanced impact protection.

Built with 30k / 10k waterproof / breathable eVent Expedition 3-layer material featuring heavy-duty, 500d Stretch Cordura™ face fabric, this rugged, ultra-durable jacket is designed for offroad performance with the chops to handle longer transitions between the dirt.

When we started this project we knew what we didn’t like about integrated jackets. Bulky hanging liners; chunky, stiff protection; and the heat that armored jackets add. Removing the hanging liner in favor of bonded armor pockets was simple enough, but finding armor that met our demands was going to be the key to delivering a product we believed in.

To meet our demands Mosko Moto partnered with RHEON™ LABS. At its core, RHEON™ is an energy-absorbing superpolymer. Soft and flexible in its natural state, it intelligently stiffens when subjected to force. Made to feel invisible, its designed to flex to the curvature of the body for an adaptive fit. This gives RHEON™ Armor impact protection exactly where it’s needed, while maintaining total comfort. What makes RHEON™ different is its patented algorithmic design and 3D printing process. The combination makes it both lighter, and more protective. The unique cell packing allows for better impact absorption while allowing air to flow naturally around the rider, making RHEON™ Armor the most breathable protection on the market. You can stay cool and stay focused, even on the toughest of days. RHEON™ Armor is protection that doesn’t feel like protection at all. It is lightweight, comfortable, and cool – with no compromise on protective performance.

The Boundary Jacket is constructed using waterproof, breathable 3-layer eVent material. eVent's proprietary Direct Venting™ technology allows heat and water vapor to move directly through the air-permeable membrane, letting your body breathe freely and stay comfortable in a wide range of conditions. To keep you dry the material features a 30,000mm on the water column, an MVTR of 10,000 g/m/d, .06cfm air permeability, and C0 DWR. That sounds like a lot of jargon, but the bottom line is the air permeability makes a world of difference in staying comfortable when riding in warmer temperatures.

The face fabric is a 500d stretch Cordura™ nylon for superior abrasion resistance and ease of movement. In high abrasion areas like the shoulders, back, and elbows, SuperFabric™ ceramic platelets on 600D polyester overlays add strength. With double-layer fabric, you can crash repeatedly and still stay dry.

Our zippers are top-of-the-line water-resistant YKK™ Vislon Aquaguard: unlike PU coated zips, they won't clog with dust and grime, and will remain easy to operate over the life of the garment.

For storage, there are two external chest pockets, two hand pockets, and two drop-in cargo pockets. The chest pockets double as air intakes with flow-through vents on the back. Additional airflow can be created by opening up the forearm vents or snapping back the collar and securing with snaps for maximum airflow.

In addition to the Boundary Jacket's integrated CE Level-2 protection, it is designed to work with separate body armor for better performance and versatility when riding athletically offroad. This flexibility allows the jacket to perform across a wide range of conditions and applications.
