KTM INTRODUCES THE 2026 KTM 690 ENDURO R

INTRODUCING THE 2026 KTM 690 ENDURO R

The ultimate big-bore single for conquering the wild.

The KTM 690 ENDURO R has long held legendary status among dual-sport and adventure riders. With its lightweight chassis, potent LC4 powerplant, and go-anywhere versatility, this machine is purpose-built for riders who want to blast straight from their driveway into the wilderness — tackling pavement, gravel, and rugged backcountry trails without skipping a beat. For 2026, the ENDURO R takes another leap forward with performance, technology, and refinement upgrades that cement its place at the top of the single-cylinder food chain.

UPDATES AT A GLANCE

Following the previous generation’s chassis and styling upgrades, the 2026 KTM 690 ENDURO R now features an evolved version of the bulletproof 690cc LC4 motor, plus advanced electronics including Cornering ABS, Cornering MTC, multiple Ride Modes, and a new 4.2-inch full-color TFT dashboard.

BODYWORK & GRAPHICS

The 2026 model is sharper and more aggressive than ever, with bodywork designed around the rider for both seated comfort and stand-up control. From relaxed highway cruising to elbows-out, on-the-pegs technical riding, the new plastics and contact points offer improved ergonomics. The updated in-mold graphics process delivers maximum durability with a premium finish that can handle the abuse of real off-road use.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION

The proven frame from the previous generation remains but features subtle optimizations for improved stiffness and rider feedback. Lateral load stiffness is unchanged, but overall rigidity has been refined to transmit a more direct feel through the pegs and bars. Suspension settings have been reworked for a balance of off-road performance and on-road comfort. The ENDURO R also gains new fixation points for a center stand and a revised skid plate for extra protection.

RIDING TECHNOLOGY

The ENDURO R’s tech package sets a benchmark for the segment.

  • TFT Dashboard & Switchgear – New 4.2-inch bonded-glass TFT with anti-glare coating, KTMconnect smartphone integration, music control, call management, turn-by-turn+ navigation, and a standard USB-C port. New illuminated switchgear offers improved ergonomics.
  • Ride Modes – STREET and OFFROAD modes are standard. A memory function remembers your last-selected mode even after shutdown.
  • Optional Rally Mode – Unlocks Dynamic Slip Adjust, Motor Slip Regulation, and a Slip Adjuster for fine-tuned off-road performance.
  • Cornering ABS & Cornering MTC – Both systems adjust intervention based on lean angle, and MTC can be fully disabled.
  • Offroad ABS – Disengages rear ABS and limits front ABS for maximum dirt control. Rear wheel lift and cornering detection are disabled. ABS can also be completely turned off.
  • Dynamic Slip Adjust – Available in Rally Mode, this new feature automatically increases slip allowance when extra wheelspin is needed, then dials it back once traction returns.
