CFMOTO Announces the 2027 Ibex 950

Following the launch of the Ibex 450, CFMOTO has introduced its larger-capacity counterpart. The 946cc parallel-twin engine produces 112 horsepower and 77.5 lb-ft of torque, providing strong mid-range pull for highway passing and long-distance travel.

The low-slung fuel tank design places weight low in the frame, helping maintain stability over uneven terrain. The slim chassis profile through the seat allows the rider to stand comfortably on the pegs, making line adjustments easier in off-road conditions.

The chassis is fitted with fully adjustable KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, and Pirelli tires. An integrated electronics package includes selectable ride modes, traction control, cornering ABS, and an electronic quickshifter to assist across varying surface conditions, from asphalt to loose gravel.

Power and Delivery

The Ibex 950 is powered by a 946cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, producing 112 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 77.5 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm. The emphasis is on usable performance. The torque curve is broad and accessible, supporting steady drive across varying surfaces and reducing reliance on peak output. The engine’s character is defined by consistency through the midrange, where traction, load, and rider input intersect most often. Ride-by-wire throttle enables selectable modes—Standard, Rain, Off-Road, and All-Terrain—allowing response and intervention to be aligned with changing conditions over the course of a ride.

Chassis and Suspension

The chassis pairs a tubular steel frame with an aluminum swingarm, configured to balance stability at speed with compliance on uneven terrain. Suspension is handled by KYB, with a 48mm fully adjustable inverted fork and a fully adjustable rear monoshock, providing 9 inches of travel front and rear. Adjustment across preload, compression, and rebound allows the motorcycle to be set for rider weight, cargo, and terrain.
