But riders have discovered that what makes the Black Hills such a world-class destination for on-road motorcycle riding, is also what makes it one of the best places for adventure riding. We can't wait to share the Black Hills of South Dakota with more adventure riders and host the launch of the new BDR-X at this year’s festival.”

Zero Motorcycles’ DSR/X on the Black Hills BDR-X

The Black Hills BDR-X is presented in part by Zero Motorcycles who provided two of their DSR/X motorcycles to be tested on the route and featured in the film. As the world's pioneering electric ADV model, the DSR/X boasts industry-leading ground clearance, exceptional range, a 19-inch front wheel, a luggage-capable frame, and a rugged suspension package. These attributes make the DSR/X perfectly suited for exploring the challenging off-road terrain of BDR routes, and the BDR-X routes.

Zero Motorcycles' partnership with the BDR underscores their commitment to advancing the possibilities of electric adventure riding. To further support this endeavor, BDR has integrated electric charging stations locations into both the printable and digital maps of the Black Hills BDR-X.

“Backcountry Discovery Routes have been the key that unlocks two-wheeled adventure for riders from coast to coast for years and the Black Hills BDR-X lives up to that reputation in every way. Having such an iconic route be the first for Zero Motorcycles to be included on is an honor and we’re proud to bring a new element of adventure riding to the rich tradition of BDR and the world-class riding of the Black Hills."

- Dan Quick, Communication Director, Zero Motorcycles

The BDR non-profit would like to thank the BDR community and the following companies for making this route possible:   Zero Motorcycles,   Rev’It! and   Revzilla.
