Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, this newly developed link pipe replaces the stock pre-muffler, where the stock catalytic converter is located, leading to a more direct gas flow, aimed at increasing performance. Providing a huge weight reduction of 79.2% (3.8 kg) over the original link pipe, this option also increases power by 3.2 kW (4.4 hp) at 8,600 rpm and improves torque by 5.6 Nm at 4,600 rpm when fitted to a Slip-On Line (Titanium) on a Ducati DesertX and compared with the standard stock system on the Akrapovič in-house dyno. Serving up an enhanced sportier racing sound, this track-oriented optional part has no EC/ECE type-approval and has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits only. It is a simple plug-and-play installation, and remapping of the ECU is recommended.
When installed, the EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) becomes invalid.
