In a world centered around self broadcasting, it can be difficult to see beyond the foreground. At Upshift, however, we strive to provide a broader perspective, outlining the aspects of adventure that make up the background of the journey: the landscape, the people, and the culture. From origin to destination, we believe that these details should not be overlooked when telling the story of an adventure, including storytelling through photos. In 2019, we found ourselves around the globe yet again, and while the year was full of new gear and inspiring stories, we want to share a look at the past twelve months from a “wide open” perspective.
