UPSHIFT 66 - WIDE OPEN - 2021 YEAR IN PHOTOS
If you have a good memory, you may be asking yourself why the Upshift Photo Annual wasn’t published in January? Frankly, the Wyoming BDR was significant enough that we decided to push our annual tradition back a month and give the new Wyoming route priority. But the wait is over! Here is a look back at some of the more memorable moments from 2021.
We have such an incredible opportunity each month, to highlight the Dualsport/ADV community that we are proud to be a part of. In 2021, ‘resilience’ was the word that came up over and over as we followed along with so many of you. We all know how difficult it has been to travel where we would like, when we would like, and with the people we would like. With the relentless news cycle generating more questions than answers, with borders opening and closing, and local mandates changing at any given moment... making plans of any kind can feel futile. In a world as volatile as the present, it is almost instinctual to wait and wish for “normal” to return. What we have observed, however, is largely the opposite. Those who crave adventure are out there, seizing every opportunity they can get their hands on, even if it is closer to home. This year, the Photo Annual honors those of you who keep trying to make the most of our days and are enjoying the ride.
We certainly can not predict what is next, but we are really looking forward to seeing what 2022 has to offer all of us.
